48-Hour Masked Solo run to Raise
PPE Awareness
WHY?
- There is a great need for protective personal equipment (PPE) for local healthcare workers, first responders, service providers, & anyone in need & in our community in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
- Masks are in short supply!
- We are calling for more volunteers and supplies to make fabric face masks and for donations of N95 masks, nitrile gloves, gowns, face guards, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes.

WHAT?
- El Dorado County resident and ultra runner, Hervé Leconte, 60, will run 150 miles in 48 hours (non-stop*) on an isolated treadmill with a face mask (one of 250 that he has sewn and donated) in order to raise awareness and recruit more volunteers, funds & supply donations. *Excluding meal and nature breaks
WHEN?
- Saturday, April 11, 8:00 a.m.
through
- Monday, April 13, 8:00 a.m.
WHERE?
Treadmill located inside El Dorado Wine Movement – 304 Main Street, Placerville, (next door to the Cary House Hotel) in Placerville, a space graciously provided by the El Dorado Winery Association. No visitors allowed inside due to social distancing protocol, however, viewers can follow him on Facebook.com/PlacervilleDowntownAssociation

A native of France, but a proud American citizen since 2000, he has long been guided by the notion that one should think globally, but act locally.
He shares, “When you act in ways that serve your community, it will impact the larger world.”
Hervé has also put his philosophy and love of running towards raising funds for EDSO K9 Association, local fire fighters, and Military Family Support Group, a local non-profit of which he is Chairman of the Board.
