Community Awareness Run PPE

48-Hour Masked Solo run to Raise

PPE Awareness

WHY?

  • There is a great need for protective personal equipment (PPE) for local healthcare workers, first responders, service providers, & anyone in need & in our community in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
  • Masks are in short supply!
  • We are calling for more volunteers and supplies to make fabric face masks and for donations of N95 masks, nitrile gloves, gowns, face guards, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes.
  • WHAT?

    • El Dorado County resident and ultra runner, Hervé Leconte, 60, will run 150 miles in 48 hours (non-stop*) on an isolated treadmill with a face mask (one of 250 that he has sewn and donated) in order to raise awareness and recruit more volunteers, funds & supply donations.

      (*Excluding meal and nature breaks)
